Our fine art gallery has always been a team effort – with only four front of house team members and two business owners, our team are all personally invested in the business and truly care for our customers and their shopping experience. Our genuine passion for our artworks really stands us apart from standard retail stores, and now with over five years of successful trading with thousands of repeat customers, it is obvious that our love for our ‘product’ goes beyond an everyday job role. Clients often praise our relaxed and genuine approach to each person, we treat each individual no matter what they are purchasing as important as the next.
Because artwork can be such an emotional purchase, our team takes genuine pride in making sure every detail is perfect – notable moments include creating a commission of a dying father and his son enjoying a drink together by their favourite Scottish Loch which the family surprised him with, and installing artworks into children’s bedrooms which they will grow up with and treasure. Lockdown provided us with plenty of challenges with continuing to provide this level of service, but we did not close our business for a single day and continued to work closely with our artists and clients to dispatch artworks wherever they were needed – now with a long list of foreign countries where our artworks hang pride of place.
I am proud of our store and our team for surviving the past few hard years, and actually coming out of the other side better for it and with strong team bonds and improved professional skills. We have kept the heart and soul of the business alive while making sure to hit our targets and constantly improve, and as one client recently said – coming into the gallery feels like popping in to see a friend.
