I am proud of our store because, despite the very difficult times of the pandemic and the fuel crisis, our team always go above and beyond, despite some extremely stressful and unknown circumstances that we have been faced with, each and every team member always has a smile and a positive attitude. This is thanks to our team spirit we have built here as a store ‘family’ looking out for one another and supporting each other through the most difficult few years I have ever experienced in retail. The fuel crisis was beyond demanding on each and every one of us and even those of us who have worked in retail for years, were not prepared for how that situation would play out. These crisis situations that occur bring out the best and the worst in people as we have experienced with our customers and the general public. We have all faced unkindness from angry members of the public but not once was any one of us alone in dealing with this. Our amazing team supported each other in a dignified and calm manner at all times and got us all through it by sticking together. We have been shown immense kindness and gratitude by our local community, cards and messages of thanks and kind gestures. We are very much a small community store and very much look out for out our local community in every way. Helping whenever we can in what ever way we can. We raise money regularly for local charities and we put on events for the community even through covid we managed an Easter egg trail in a covid safe way in the local area. We have a strong relationship with our regulars and locals and we have a close knit team of staff who consider ourselves a family. I am so proud of everyone and how we have pulled together over the last few years. The darkest times have really shone a light on our strengths and just how incredible everyone is here at this store. Our BP Tudor family.
